The Democratic National Convention / Occupy Charlotte Dilemma. As referenced in an earlier thread The Charlotte City Council in preperation for the Democratic National Convention(DNC) passed a new ordinances that among other things prohibited camping or sleeping on City Property. My thinking is the City leaders wanted to get rid of certain eyesores, you know, people like the homeless, vagrants, and the Occupy Charlottle(OC) protestors. What makes this such a nugget for me personally is I preducted this. I talked to the OCers on a few occasions and I told them, they'll entertain you until DNC time rolls around, then you gots to go. The OCers figured the Democrats would embrace them, and help them spread their message of Corporate greed. I'm like, it's same corporations that you guys complain about for being greedy that are bankrolling this Convention. Do you guys and gals really think they're gonna tell their big money to screw in favor of you? But the OCers were very confident they would be embraced. Most of the OCers were young and just don't get the way things work yet. They were set so far behind by government education, it's only logical so many are so easily fooled. There were a few people my age, but they were either A) Useful dullards, or B) Complete morons. They are beyond hope. Hopefully the younger ones might have learned a lesson. *UPDATE* Maybe the young are beyond hope too. The OCers have filed a lawsuit against The City Of Charlotte. Apprently they feel like they ought to be able to camp on other's property indefinitely. They've learned nothing from their being abandoned by their pillars of Hope.
