Has anyone noticed that Bush's recent speeches lacks something? I think the election really shook Bush's confidence. I think Bush didn't expect the backlash he got from the center and from the left. I don't think Bush expected the backlash from some elements of the right. In any event, I've watched his speech last week, and he just didn't seem to even want to be there. He didn't sound like he was too secure about what he was proposing. It makes me wonder if the "proposal" was more of a trial baloon.
Meanwhile The Democrats and some Republicans have introduced a resolution opposing sending more troops to Iraq.
"To feed more American troops into this bloodbath is wrong. In the end Iraqis must determine their own future." Chuck Hagel
"It is not in the national interest of the United States to deepen its military involvement in Iraq, particularly by escalating the United States military force presence in Iraq." From the resolution
"If my Democrat colleagues are truly opposed to the mission in Iraq, then as the new majority in Congress they should schedule a serious debate and a vote on cutting off funding for our troops." John Cornyn

I could only listen to about five seconds of the bushes speech... I get tired of listening to him babble on and on, when we already know he's a big liar....
we the people need to impeach his behind and put him on trial for war crimes, plain and simple...
I kind of agree with john cornyn cut the military funding to iraq and they have no choice but to bring our men home, although cutting our over all military funding right now would probably be stupid because we have made to many enemies with our erratic behavior...
