I deserve any dissing I may get, because I'm going back on my word again. I said i wouldn't do this again, but I am if no one posts against the idea. So let try to explain my reasoning here, and I'll keep it simple. I'm having more fun in other people's forums than I am in the home forum, which is this one. That's not to diss the conversations here. I've enjoyed the intellectual improvement in this forum since we went all registered. But being intellectual all the time gets boring. I can't help but wonder, if I'm feeling bored with this forum, is everyone else? We need to shake things up, so I vote lets do it. Also we could get a few fresh nicks.
I fully realize the negatives here. There's a lot of history that could rear it's head. I hope not. That's not why I'm creating a guest forum. Still, if it occurs, there's not much i can do to stop it in the guest forum. I'm going to police myself, and I hope everyone else does too. We're going to wait a little while to open it, to give other members a chance to state their opinion. If other members are dead set against this, it won't be opened.

Thanks Mrs Lee. It's 2-0 so far. I've been tied up the last few days. Nothing bad or anything, unexpected work. I couldn't turn the money down. Still, it'll be a few days at least before we do anything.
Instead of creating another forum, I figure we'll open up the NC17 forums to guests. Watch out, the original Free For All is back. And It'll be a Free For All alright, especially considering our outright refusal to delete much if anything unless we just have too. What if flaming or sabotage results in this forum being deleted? Well, it wouldn't be the first time. We'll move like we did the three previous times we were shut down. It's just cyberspace. Besides, if we exercise some common sense, I doubt we'll have to worry about being shut down. I'm not going to make it public everywhere, maybe one, two other forums max.
I have to admit that there is some jealousy that Is motivating this change Mrs Lee. That's jealousy goes right to WW and his forum. I'm jealous that WW pulls off what I've failed at. I'm envious of the fact I've been having more fun over there, than here. However, I've used this opportunity to study what WW does. I've figured out part of it. It's a mindset. Perhaps I've taken the forum thing a little too serious previously. That concern has resulted in me taking a lighter approach to forums.

I don't feel like I'm here enough to have a voice, but for what it's worth, I think it is a sterling idea!! Things are a little slow. I say go for it Steady, do what you gotta do.

LoL I've been known not to use to much common sense on the internet, common sense is something that applies in real life not here! but for you I guess I could try extra hard! LoL actually I don't go to WW forums, I'm guessing WW doesn't have a bunch of snitches sitting around watching for him to slip up? thought I'd might as well get the ball rolling! LMAO  |

You never complain about anything, whether it's abuse , doctored pics ect. You don't get all upset if people show out, or post nasty things about you, or even your family. I respect that about you, and you're the least of my worries. I'm cool with You being you. That said, I'm going to do my best to lead by example and just have fun. To hell with getting worked up about forum BS. It's more fun to have fun, so that's what I'm going to do. I'm wiping the slate clean. As far as I'm concerned, it a fresh start. That's not to say I'm going to disregard my experience in the various and nicks, I'm not. However, I'm not going to hold grudges or worry about who's going to do what anymore. It's not worth it, it's just the net. Beside's If we can keep a proper perspective, I doubt we'll have to worry about problems bad enough to get boardhost on us. WW's crowd is a unique crowd. He's very fortunate to have assembled the crowd. That wasn't by accident though, WW is a rare adminisrator. I was going run this by you in IM, but what the hell, since we're here. I can make it where all members can see server addy numbers. I can't enable guests to see SIP numbers, restraints of the host's software. But I can make it where members can. I think that's helped in WW's forum. What say you? I'm still kind of tied up but should have things wrapped up tonight, at least enough to have more free time to make these changes. Mrs jessie, you've stuck with this forum in spite of my mismanagement, the sometimes horrid content, and the flame wars. That by itself entitles you to a voice. Your vote makes it 3-0 in favor. I still have some work to get out of the way so other members have a day or two to vote. One more in favor vote will kind of seal it.

Sounds like a good idea stead. Besides if things get carzy you can always lock up for a day or two. All the boards are slow right now except for WW. I do not post much there but I do like to read it. I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to politics. I haven't had much time for any boards lately what with Hubby being sick and home more than usual. I don't want him to know about my "double life". lol I'll try to be around more in the future.

I don't do anything but sit here and ask you a bunch of stupid questions...  |

That's a good point Kat. We could also get hit with the same kind of spam we had to deal with at The Imposter. We may have to lock up a days or so for that. Kat, I've seen you opine about Politics. You do just fine. You've stuck with this forum through a lot as well, at least two deletions if my memory's correct. I'm very thankful for that. Don't worry about how much you post. IMO, I wouldn't go there. They'll know soon enough, if they don't know already. I know they spammed Heidi's board and The Imposter. I'm well aware of how they treated you and Kat, which is why I leave them to do their thing. There are other groups we can cater too. That's one of the fresh start things, finding new peeps who would be a better fit that some that we've catered to in the past.

You're a rare type of person who keeps a certain perspective about the net. You're a rare Mod. When OTP went after your Son, you didn't until the boardhost got involved. You defended yourself, but you didn't use Mod functions to do it. That's very rare. For that, I'm truly thankful. You know enough to handle your business in here. The questions you ask about IP numbers aren't stupid. Now that members will be able to see IPs, I'd suggest everyone familiarize themselves with who usually uses what IP. That can help somewhat to avoid being fooled by anonymous nicks and proxies pulling cheesy stunts.
