The campaign season heats up. Mother Jones acquired a tape that reportedly has Mittens saying that most Obama voters are unreachable because their vote is bought with GOVT benefits. In this case, score one for Mittens. He's right. I hear it everyday. I hear from people who are going to vote for Obama because they think Republicans will put an end to their freebies. It's so easy to covet someone el
se's money. The only problem I see with what Mitten's said is that Republicans do the same thing. Many Republicans are going to vote for Mitt because they think he's going to exact revenge against the Mad Mooozies. That's a bit ironic because Mr Bojangles has been potent with those drones. Many Republicans are going to vote for Mitt because of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). That program bestowed upon us by Republicans has turned the tax code into a welfare program. When you get a check at tax time that's greater than the amount withheld, that's welfare. Of course we have Republicans who are going to vote for Mitt because he promises to don the Bobby cap and go police the world to make it all safe and sanitary. That's worked out out well, hasn't it? The list of promises by both parties are endless. The list of failures trying to keep these promises are also endless.
So Americans base their vote on the promises of liars. Americans vote based on how much these liars are going to take from one person and give to them. That's one hell of a way to run a nation. I'd ask that Americans rise above these sorry Norms. Instead of voting based on what the Govcos can take from someone else and send to you, vote based on what's best for the interests of the US. Here's a hint, we can't keep spending money we don't have. We can't keep selling promissory notes of future productivity and printing money. Sooner than later no one will value our future productivity and our currency will be worthless. Then all hell breaks loose. We can stop it, but the two parties are more interesting in using our money to buy votes than doing what's best for the nation.
