You can expect some sharp political commentary.
You can expect the same played out so and so is so and so drama that is so common around the net. You can expect that sooner or later we'll find out someone has been Sybilling around. You never know who really is behind that keyboard.
You can expect the same degree of expression as the owner, the Mods, or anyone else.
As in most other forums and message boards, you can expect to be insulted. You can expect the same degree of freedom to defend yourself as people do to insult you. You can expect mods to stay out of it if you return fire if at all possible.
Guests are allowed in the NC17 forums, and the Sports forum. We suggest that you be wary of a guest nick unless you are sure that guest is who it claims to be. All members can see SIP numbers.
We suggest you refrain from posting your life history in this forum. We suggest you refrain from posting personal information about yourself and your family in public. IM is a great place to talk about personal issues with other users. Mods nor the owner will read your IMs. If you do post your personal info, Management of Politics12345 and Proboards cannot control what others do with that info. There's no way for members or management to confirm who really is behind that keyboard.
We suggest that you don't put an image of yourself in public view in this forum. Again, that's better done in IM. If you do there is the chance your photo could be stolen and altered. There is nothing we can do about that.
We suggest you check your feelings at the door.
You can expect an occasional gagball on a politician, other public figures, avatars, and the global mods. In other words, it's cool to have some fun and even misbehave on occasions. Show at least some degree of reason because if one or both sides goes to far, it could result in the deletion of the forum or the whole site.
Since members can see SIPs, we suggest members learn the basics about SIP numbers, tracing and reading the hops. That should make it more difficult for anyone to use a guest nick or proxy to play some cheesy stunt at your expense. Seeing SIP helps, but it's not a perfect method. You never know who really is behind that keyboard.
