wtf: well I'm starting to honestly agree with the ones who would say our country is no longer ours... =( It still is to a decent degree, even after 09-11. People need to wake up fairly soon though. Right now politicians think they can do about what they want and get away with it. And why not, Americans keep re-electing the same corrupt liars based of partisan loyalty and to keep the other side from winning. All we would have to do is show the politicians who's boss, and that still can be done via the ballot box. to a decent degree you're kidding right? LoL right now the politicians ARE doing wtf they want, if bush isn't a prime example of that I don't know what is!

Hold on for one Minute Mrs Lee. Before we react to something that isn't realistic, let's consider a few things first. We talk freely about government, with some hard hitting opinions. We haven't had a problem from the government. Our problems have come from other individuals online. On spite of the many excesses that are typical from government of all levels, Ilive a fairly free life. I do pretty much what I want to do. We haven't lost everything, yet. Let's not overstate the problems. If we make the problems seem to big, people are people will throw their hands up and say "what's the use?".
Now, I don't say the above to suggest your cut your sense of urgency relevant to the antics of the political establishment. Actually, I respect it and share it. However, we must apply our sense of urgency to a point. I also respect your passion. It must used productively, else we take the chance to be cast off as kooks.
The above is only my opinion.

I do agree that people will thow their hands up and say what's the use, "take me I'm your loyal servant." don't mind me I'm just rambling and picking at your mind...

and besides they only started maybe five years ago with the wiretaping, emails, and instant message collecting and spying on us ... I'm sure it will take them awhile to go through all that information, so don't count out them coming after use yet! ROFLMAO

By all means, please do. Your rambling makes more sense that most's serious opinion. My brain is yours to pick in any you see fit.
Now, I'm going to expand on a few points, if for no other reason than the hell of it. This isn't intended to suggest your opinions are in error, from where I sit they aren't.
I don't know about certain opinions being entertained or squelched on network media. The Coast To Coast AM show should have been long gone if that scenario were absolute. I wonder if someone who was as entertaining as Rush Limbaugh who held our style of independent politics could be successful? It would be an interesting experiment.
I didn't say we haven't lost anything. We have, thanks to a few atti terror initiatives from Bush and Clinton. We've also lost some liberty due to the war on drugs, enviromentalism, to control growth, and ect. I'm sure there are farmers who would confirm the enrironmental thing.
I seem to remember that J Edgar Hoover was infamous for wiretapping and other abusive antics. That was back in the mid 1900s.
And on that I turn the mike back over to you.

And on that I turn the mike back over to you. you don't think network media picks and chooses wtf they allow us to know? LoL they sure in the hell do... I have an example too... on cnn a few years ago I seen at the very bottom scrolling across how the gov't finally come clean on chemical weapons they used on soldiers and citizens... it only scrolled across once and I didn't hear it on any other network... it seems they sprayed soldiers on naval ships to test chemical suits... and they sprayed viruses on differents parts of hawaii to see how the virus would work... well when me and slater were having words about the gov't one day, I know I searched over half the day for info on that and couldn't find none... what I did find though is how they used chemicals and viruses on prisoners I believe in texas... isn't it funny how the public excepts the use of such weapons on prisoners? ummmmmmm where does the seatbelt law fall under, the war on drugs, or enviromental? LoL sike I'm being a smartass! good thing I wasn't around when J Edgar Hoover was or I might be in prison... I'll tell ya when I was going through my mcveigh thingie, you would of been shocked at some of things I'd say... I'd make mcveigh chat rooms on aol and I'd educate anyone willing to listen about the OKC bombing, it got so bad aol started deleting my rooms as soon as I made them... I thought it was my life mission to educate the sheeple... actually I worried about the gov't coming after me then, because alot of crap I was saying about the bombing you sure in the heck wasn't hearing in the news... I'll tell ya I have chilled out alot on gov't bashing if you can believe that?

I'm sure that the mainstream media report what they think we need to know. Look at the fouyr TV networks and most major newspapers. They all cover the same thing. I include Fox news in that group. Sure, Fox may have a few more Republican talking heads than the rest, but the news division covers the same stories ABC, CBS, and NBC does for the most part. The seatbelt aspect is interesting. That was a Federal thing as the Feds threatened to withold hwy monies if the States didn't require seat belt usage. There are numorous sources to news. I've built a decent list down in the links section. politics12345.proboards98.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=affilation&thread=1150307970&page=1I doubt I would be shocked at your more colorful illustrations this point. Maybe back then, but not now. I know you've mellowed out a good bit. That's cool, but you haven't lost your fire. Nor should you. Besides, inflammatory stuff gets said in these forums. I can give you URLs that too. In facy, I am in the forum happenings thread.
